It is within walking distance of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hofburg, Spanish Riding School, State Opera, the business and banking district and is ideal for holding conferences, events, seminars, meeting and conventions.

There are eight air-conditioned conference and banqueting rooms for up to 150 guests with the most up-to-date conference equipment including modem and ISDN access. All, except the Salon Baccarat and the Salon Fortuna, are located on the ground floor near the Atrium, and offer the ideal location for cocktail receptions, get-together parties, coffee breaks or gala dinners. Some of the rooms are traditionally styled with mirrors and crystal-chandeliers, some are modern. There are also a few cosy corners for small meetings in the hotel.
The Hotel de France has 194 comfortable rooms and suites in modern and traditional style. It also features a limited number of Deluxe Rooms, mainly on the 5th floor and Junior Suites/Maisonettes on the 6th floor and 8 refurbished Suites.
There is a Fitness centre located on the 6th floor, free of charge; admission provided by your key card, twenty-four-seven.
